The Legacy Begins: Sean Cos Mason & the Roots of Nonillaah

Before the household name Sean Cos Mason and the brand Noneillah/Nonillaah took shape, there was simply Cos, Cosmos, Sean Mason, and Sean M, the artist who would later spell his name as Noneillah.

Sean’s journey into music and entrepreneurship started humbly in the streets and hallways of Montclair, New Jersey. During his high school years, he became a core member of the group Ice Grill. It was here, surrounded by raw talent and real-life inspiration, that Sean began honing his craft and laying the foundation for what would become a respected name in the indie and underground music scene.

The Ice Grill era produced numerous tracks that captured the energy, lyricism, and authenticity of the group. Among the Nonillaah team’s all-time favorites is the standout record “Just Cuz Im Ice Grill” ft. Diggz, Sean M & Redd Freck.

This track perfectly showcases Sean Cos Mason’s incredible word flow and sharp lyricism. Even back then, he was widely regarded as the best rapper and lyricist in the group, a reputation earned through precision, creativity, and an undeniable presence on the mic.

The song structure flows naturally: Redd Freck kicks things off the son. Then Sean Cos Mason follow up with strong bars, setting the tone. Diggz follows with the intro, Sean M (Sean Cos Mason) then delivers his signature lyrical performance, and Redd Freck closes it out with a memorable, repeated hook that ties everything together.

At Nonillaah, our vision, mission, and focus have always been clear: to continue the legacy of Sean M aka Sean Cos Mason. We honor the foundation he built in Montclair with Ice Grill while pushing his artistry, entrepreneurship, and influence forward into new chapters.
