Montclair Raised Me”
A Poem for Sean Cos Mason
From the corners where the streetlights glow,
A young king carried dreams no one could hold.
Pen to the page, pain in every line,
Turning dark nights into rhythms that shine.
Headphones on while the world moved fast,
Writing verses hoping the struggle would not last.
Every scar became a lyric, every tear became art,
Music was the language beating inside his heart.
Montclair nights and city skies,
Built a soldier with fire in his eyes.
Not chasing fame just to wear a crown,
But to lift his people whenever life weighed them down.
Mic in his hand like truth in the air,
Speaking for the unheard everywhere.
The crowd sees a rapper standing tall,
But the mural reveals the soul behind it all.
From notebook dreams to center stage light,
He turned pressure and pain into purpose tonight.
A voice for the streets, for the lost, for the free,
Sean Cos Mason, becoming who he was born to be.
And every beat echoes one message clear:
Real music lives forever here.

The city sleeps in shadows, the urban canyon deep, But here, a story rises, secrets we can’t quite keep. A portrait etched in pigment, a throne upon the bricks, Sean Cos Mason’s kingdom, a world he came to fix.
His gaze is firm and steady, his focus never swerves, Surrounded by the blossoms, and gold that light preserves. With lions on his footrest, and music on the air, The Montclair scene, his canvas, a king without a care.
Two muses, high and sacred, his inspiration draw, One on the right, the other left, in reverent, silent awe. They see the vision clearly, the melody, the light, The city’s pulse, the rhythm, that powers through the night.
The skyline from his past life, the towers tall and bright, A backdrop to the future, a hope in shades of white. It’s here, upon these pages, the story will unfold, His journey, bold and daring, as beautiful as gold.
A microphone of iron, a symbol on the floor, A path that’s still unfolding, a key to every door. For Sean Cos Mason’s legacy, the world has yet to see, The rhythm of his message, the promise set so free.
