Carey, already a mother to 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe from her previous marriage with Nick Cannon, seems to be in a different phase of life than Tanaka. Cannon, who has children with multiple partners, has been separated from Carey since 2014. Carey and Tanaka began dating in 2016, with Carey initially keeping her personal life under wraps.
