Ja’Net DuBois, is best known for her role as Willona Woods in the hit 1970s television show “Good Times” and sang the theme song to another hit show, “The Jeffersons,” died on Monday at her home in Glendale, Calif in her sleep at the age of 74-year-old. She left behind her daughter Kesha Gupta-Fields

Ms. DuBois’s character, Willona, was the single neighbor and best friend of Florida Evans (played by Esther Rolle). She also was an adopted mother who took in an abused child played Penny (by  a young Janet Jackson)
