Machine Gun Kelly is going against his idol Eminem was challenging but perhaps unwise. The song he released “Rap Devil,” was quite dope and had some validity to it, but Em gained popularity battle rapping. And after being plucked apart by Em in “Killshot,” MGK has wisely decided not to respond. MGK reportedly had a response ready but is choosing not to continue the quarrel. Eminem's most wicked rhymes were aimed at Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly on the song "Not Alike":
Eminem's comments stem from a 2012 tweet Machine Gun Kelly posted talking about how attractive he thought Eminem's daughter Hailie was. She was just 16 years old (MGK was 21).
MGK has supported the tweet and even rapped about it as freshly as last year. But he's also said it's affected his career, causing "certain people" in the industry to disregard his music. MGK's music inhibits from Sirius XM (more specifically, Eminem's Shade 45 channel) after the tweet.
Machine Gun Kelly is previously on tour with Fall Out Boy and is appreciating a newly discovered fame so another kill shot may lag his progress or stop it. In a current interview with NYC, The Breakfast Club, MGK asserted, he had intended to keep the beef going, but after “Killshot” dropped, he decided otherwise. He stated, “I had a clip ready. I heard ‘Killshot,’ and I put that shit back in the holster. I’m like ‘Oh word. Alright, he called me a mumble rapper dog…”
Hence with that being mention, let us proceed on to other MGK news. The star is gearing up to release his second major label EP, Binge which is listed to drop on Friday (Sept 21).
